AltOS

I had long-term goals, a calendar, and a to-do list, and almost nothing connecting them. AltOS is my attempt to fix that for myself. It keeps tasks, calendar time, and the things I’m working toward in one place, and tries to answer a small, practical question: given what I care about and what today actually looks like, what should I start next?

It can suggest changes, like moving a block of work or breaking a vague task into something I can actually begin. It doesn’t make those changes by itself. Anything that would change my calendar or reach outside the app waits for my approval. That ended up being where most of the interesting engineering was, because a planning assistant that quietly moves the wrong thing is worse than having no assistant at all.

It’s a personal tool rather than a product, so it isn’t public. I wrote the specifications and developed it with coding agents.
